No registration required. This meeting will be a FREE workshop for school age & early childhood educators facilitated by Confederation Centre visual arts educator, Kate Sharplay.
Please note the change in location. This meeting will be held at the Schurman Family Studio (art bunker) at the Confederation Centre of the Arts. Enter the studio from the downward staircase across from the water fountain in front of Province House). Look for an orange banner that says ART CAMPS
Workshop summary
Workshop will include discussions on a range of materials for afterschool art and craft projects: mixed media; painting; sculpture; printing; and outdoor activities including pros and cons of their uses. There will be several hands-on activities during which the educators can experience easy to setup projects with examples. There will also be a chance at the end for any questions and discussions.
About Kate
Kate Sharpley is a visual arts educator, working at the Confederation Centre Art Gallery, she is also a multi skilled visual artist working in both fine art and digital media. Over the last few years Kate has led many art classes with youth and adults for the town of Stratford and worked with several local elementary schools on art projects. Kate has a Bachelor’s degree in Product Design from the University of Wolverhampton, UK and has worked as a freelance artist, created outdoor living sculptures, illustrated children’s books, and created many 3D models and animations for UK and PEI based video game companies.

Are you working with school aged children before or after school? Then this group is for you! This network of caregivers will discuss topics of interest to school aged care providers from new program ideas, activities, gudiance solutions, developing relationships with families or just asking questions and seeking others imput on the day to day challenges of this very valuable work. This meeting will also include time to identify priority discussion topics and workshop ideas for this year's meetings! We hope you join us!
