Province Announces Act & Regs Training

November 18th, 2016


Via the PEI Department of Education, Early Learning and Culture:
The Early Learning and Child Care Act and Regulations (ELCC Act & Regs) are finalized. The new Act and Regs are anticipated to come into effect on January 1st, 2017.

Prior to the Act and Regs coming into enforcement, the PEI Department of Education, Early Learning and Culture would like to offer all staff the opportunity to attend information and training sessions. Opportunities to attend will be offered in 4 locations. Please note: sessions will be offered over two evenings, the first evening session will be to provide the details of the new regs and the second evening session, which will be scheduled later the same week, will provide opportunity to 'delve' into the ELCC Act & Regs.

  • Session 1; November 29th and December 1st -  to be held in Summerside
  • Session 2; December 5th and 7th - to be held in Charlottetown
  • Session 3; December 6th and 8th - to be held in Montague
  • Session 4; December 13th and 15th - offered in French - to be held in Summerside
